Course Offering
Dressage Course
The objectives of the course are to work towards the correct seat, giving light aids, and working the horse in hand and under saddle. Students will be encouraged to use loosening work in order to achieve increased suppleness in the horse. The difference between classical equitation and dressage ridden today is the thorough preparation of the pupil (the horse or rider) which enables them to work easily and with lightness towards movements in the highest degree of collection. The clinic is suitable for horses and riders of all grades.
At the beginning of the first lesson, a thorough assessment of the horse and rider combination and their degree of training is undertaken and their objectives for the clinic and any existing problems discussed. I will then assist with warming up and loosening work, followed by increasingly collecting the horse and working towards the movements already established. In this way, any required corrections may be made in the basic work, before moving on to integrating them in more advanced work, or preparing to work towards new movements.
The rider receives my commands directly into the ear via wireless receiver from Sennheiser. Thus the rider can concentrate completely on the instructions and explanations and no command is lost. In the case of a film recordings the receiver to the camera can be adjusted to the same frequency with appropriate equipment. This gives you a sound quality in your video as in a TV movie.
During the clinic I create on my Ipad notes about the respective pair of riders. These notes include an actual state, each ridden lessons over all clinic dates and a homework. This form will be sent to the rider after the clinic, so it is possible to work between the clinics with your own trainer on the same topics.
Tuition will be in private lessons of 45 minutes duration in order to cater for each horse and rider combination individually. It is within my remit to extend or reduce the duration of each lesson.

Version 1: Private Riding Lesson
If you are wondering whether live stream training will work for you, this is the option for you. A few days before our first live stream appointment, we will do a trial run with your camera and connection to be sure the technicalities are functioning properly and to establish the precise location for your camera operator/mobile phone/robotic camera.
With this option, you may select your own time slot. If you need to postpose your lesson, you may reschedule if you give us 24 hours notice. If you convert to a 10-lesson package or VIP Training, you will be credited with the cost of your unused private riding lesson.
Version 2: 10-Lesson Package
After your first paid private lesson, you may decide to purchase a package of ten lessons. You save a little money and can still choose your time slot and, if you run into a conflict with the time, you can still reschedule with 24 hours notice to us.
Version 3: VIP Training
We recommend this option for our loyal students who have been with us for years. To qualify, you must have taken at least two courses with us in your home country, either this calendar year or last.
- Appointment times are set promptly at the beginning of the month; this reserves your training time slot.
- Payment is required one month in advance; the amount will vary with the number of lesson time slots reserved for the following month and represents an unbeatable value compared to single lessons.
- In addition to everything described above, this option includes free unlimited support via personal telephone call, WhatsApp or Messenger, should you encounter an unexpected challenge with your homework.
- Once per calendar quarter, you may send us a video of a test ride (for example, a dressage test of your choosing, max. 10 minutes long), and we will give you tips about how you can better prepare for your ride.
- Additional support at international competitions is available at a significantly reduced price.
- If a cancellation on our part is necessary, you may reschedule without charge, or your lessons may be postponed to the following calendar month.

Video Analysis
Suitable for test rides before upcoming competitions or when you need occasional support with a specific exercise or movement. You ride the selected task/exercise/movement/test and are filmed. Then you upload the video to YouTube on the “private” setting so it can only be viewed by people to whom you give permission. You send us the link and we agree on a time to conduct a video conference. We’ll watch the video together, and I’ll explain any errors I see and suggest how they may be avoided. If you are preparing for a competition, I’ll discuss with you how you can better prepare to ride that movement during a test, and I’ll point out what you need to pay special attention to at a competition. You’ll have a chance to ask questions and get an answer right away, as well as suggestions as to how to address any problems that might arise. A Video Conference lasts about 30 minutes, so your video should be no longer than 15 minutes.
If you don’t have a camera operator, the PIXEM robotic camera can help. PIXEM zoom in and out, automatically following your movements in real time, and works very well whether you ride indoors or outside. If you decide to purchase PIXEM through the link below, we will offer you a discount of €20 off the first video analysis with PIXEM.

Cavalletti Work/Gymnastic Jumping
Instructor: Patric Puscha
Training the horse in the classical way does not only include flatwork and dressage, but also gymnastic jumping, which when used on a regular basis, aids the systematic building of muscle.
This kind of work is of outstanding value because the horse carries out certain, controlled movements. The horse is encouraged to push off more energetically and consequently, to put down more firmly. The whole locomotor system is put to better use, without a change in the footfall in the basic gaits. Due to this tensing and relaxing of muscles in diverse muscle groups, those muscles responsible for the correct sequence of movements are strengthened.
Also professional show jumper will improve during the lessons. Special built combinations, fences and obstacles, combined with dressage training help the rider to control the horse during a competition. The professional show jumper get a ridable horse inbetween the fences.
Improving your Position
Only an independent and completely relaxed seat wich has become second nature will enable the rider to sense and feel his horse and his reactions. Riders educated to this extent are able to use the aids independently of each other and to influence their horse in a sensitive and effective manner.
This course is suitable for the advanced rider who appreciates the importance of the correct seat.
… Riding with a good seat will enable the rider to give effective aids. It is every rider’s duty to continually observe and correct his seat in order to improve and fortify it. …
(after R. Waetjen, ‘Dressage Riding: A Guide for the Training of Horse and Rider’).
The objective is for the rider to be able to control his body, to relax, and to follow the horse’s movement softly and with elasticity. In this way, the quality of the horse’s movement can be improved and lightness can be achieved. This enables the horse to become more expressive in his movements.
Lungeing Course/Working with Long Reins
Lungeing a horse provides a number of options for work on the ground. The horse can be worked to become more supple, collected or relaxed. Lungeing young horses teaches them to get used to the rider. Work over cavaletti on the lunge or in Long Reins without a rider and in the basic gaits, including changes of direction, can be of enormous benefit in suppling the horse. Long Reins can be used to bend or flex the horse and to ask for more impulsion.
This course aims to teach students the correct way of using the lunge line as well as the use of the appropriate aids. We will discuss the tack required for lungeing as well as the various auxiliary reins and how to use them.
For work in hand we suggest our EPP Lungeing System, which we appreciate to show you during this clinic.
Experienced students are taught how to use Long Reins and how to execute changes of direction within a circle or from one circle to the other. These can be made within the same the gait, and in order to increase the horse’s attention, lungeing over poles on the ground or cavaletti may be introduced.
Tuition is on a one-to-one basis twice a day and is individually tailored to suit your experience.
